The Marina

May 2014

We all had the day to just relax and get our internal clocks switched around on Tuesday. We all met downstairs at 9 for breakfast in the hotel restaurant (breakfast is a big deal here – I’m not really a breakfast person).

After breakfast we walked down to the marina here in Herzliya. It was beautiful out. We walked down through and looked at all of the boats and outdoor restaurants in the little shopping mall right behind it. Unfortunately, there was nobody to take us out on a boat ride, but we did walk back to our hotel along the beach, which was nice.

After getting back to the hotel I just relaxed the rest of the day. I took a nap and caught up on some of the readings for the course I’m taking here that starts tomorrow. We got dinner back down at the marina in one of the restaurants in the mall. It was an Israeli Grill and the food was really good. It was also a decent price for the amount they brought us (everything is more expensive in Israel, and it seems even more expensive than it really is with the exchange rate. I have to remember to divide everything by 3.3…)
